Some features of the legal regulation of a marriage contract in the Russian Federation

A marriage contract is intended to protect the property rights of spouses; however, due to the peculiarities of the mentality and legal awareness of citizens of the Russian Federation and the specifics of the legal regulation of this agreement, people entering into a marriage or spouses most often try to avoid the practice of signing the contract. In this article, the author analyzes the features and problems of the legal regulation of the marriage contract in the Russian Federation. Certain conclusions and propositions were made based on the study of the given opinions of scientists and materials of judicial practice. The author concludes, in particular, on the advisability of signing a marriage contract despite its specificity.
