Some features of the development of the process of urbanization in Uzbekistan

The article examines the features of the development of urbanization in Uzbekistan, the factors that accelerate and weaken this process. The regional distribution of cities and villages of the country, the features that determine the territorial distribution of the population are analyzed. A comparative analysis of the urban and rural population in the regions of the country, as well as the number of cities and villages present is presented. Regional differences in the level of urbanization are studied and conclusions are drawn. Important factors and the need to increase the level of urbanization are discussed. It is emphasized that the solution to the problem of urban planning in the country should be based on a clear decision on the consistent use and implementation of geographical, economic and social research methods.
