Some features of participation of the public in protection of the law and order and struggle against criminality in Russia in modern conditions

In the article are considered active attraction to protection of the law and order of citizens and public organisations as one of the main conditions of effective activity of law enforcement bodies under the prevention and suppression of offences, elimination or neutralisation criminogenic factors, protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens. The basic directions of development of communications of law-enforcement and other state structures with the population, forms of interaction of law-enforcement bodies and public formations of a law-enforcement orientation are allocated.
