In this article, the author analyzes the views of Marxism on the relationship between man and nature. Marxism considered man to be only one part of nature. At the same time, the founders of Marxism have always affirmed material production is a necessary activity and characteristic of man. In the production process, man acts on nature and transforms it according to his needs, but due to the fact that being only one part of nature, man cannot relate to nature contrary to its laws. Hence, the author came to a conclusion about the need to protect the natural environment by man, to build an equal relationship with it, and proposed some principles for combining the development of the economy and protecting the natural environment.
