Certain problems of state and confessional relations in the modern world

In the modern world, there is a powerful process of transformation and adaptation of the religious as a personal dimension and religion as an institutional factor, the result of which are the deep metamorphoses of the socio-cultural situation1. The two main elements of these changes: the triumph of the mass media, the consumer society and the processes of globalization2 radically change the very face of religion. Groups and movements with a clear religious identity are involved in a tireless process, which at the same time is a process of adaptation and resistance to these changes.
