The article provides an analysis of the legal regulation of digital platforms and services in the context of raising the issue of balancing the interests of marketplaces, sellers, consumers and other participants in these relationships. The gaps in legislation identified by judicial practice are shown, such as a low level of quality control over the supplied goods (including those supplied from the gray zone), illegal sale of goods under the guise of other products, etc. Attention is drawn to the fact that further specialization of legislation in the field of electronic commerce should be aimed at consolidating measures to prevent various violations both on the part of the Seller (for example, in the field of certification and declaration, illegal use of trademarks), and on the part of the Buyer in the form of frequent “consumer extremism”.
