Some of the issues of combating crimes related to the illicit drug trafficking through the Internet

The article updates the problem of contactless distribution of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances using a virtual environment. The author revealed the most significant elements of the criminological characteristic of crimes of this type, the specificity of the content of which determines the features of crime investigation. Factors for the growth of cybercrime in the field of drug trafficking were identified. The strategic objectives of law enforcement agencies to combat illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances using information technologies are justified.
