Some issues of improving the current legislation in the field of financial support and lending to small and medium-sized enterprises

The paper analyzes current issues related to existing factors that impede the sustainable development of small and medium-sized businesses. Some directions of the development of legislation in the field of financial support and lending to small and medium-sized enterprises are considered. The analysis of regulatory acts of the Government of the Russian Federation and local acts and documents of the SME Corporation showed that the introduction of competitive mechanisms in the field of lending to SMEs will increase the range of banking products for entrepreneurs. Therefore, the priority business goals of a credit institution in the sector under consideration are, firstly, to expand the range of products offered in support of SMEs, and it is also recommended to use innovative lending tools - lending by industry, factoring, leasing.
