The author examined some controversial issues related to the legal regime of security zones of linear objects, based on the analysis of judicial practice. It was concluded that when choosing a land plot, special attention should be given to the examination of the territory adjacent to the land plot, for the detection of linear objects requiring the establishment of security zones.
