Towards the interaction of meaning and sense in the identification of a word

The article deals with the problem of meaning and sense as living knowledge; from this point of view the notion of meaning and sense are specified, the mechanisms of their interaction are discussed, the role of operational knowledge in the semiosis process is determined and its functional components are distinguished. The study of the process of the identification of a word provides a basis for an integrative model for the access to the world image.
