German Christian Democratic Union: bikonfessionalizm and concept of social and economic development in 1945-1947

During the formation of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) in the early postwar years the important point was the decision to turn it into bikonfessional party. CDU, since its founding, has rejected a return to the old party system, and made a bid to create a new party. In the first policy papers were laid CDU basic democratic rights and freedom. In addition, the inclusion of the name of the association of the word "Christian" implied support of the project to the appropriate value.
