"Unreliable narrator" from different points of view: Kazuo Ishiguro ("When we were orphants") and Ryunosuke Akutagawa ("In a grove")

The article focuses on the term "unreliable narrator" in use in the texts of Kazuo Ishiguro and Ryunosuke Akutagawa, and on the functioning of the category in two different literary systems. Raises the issue of modification of the categories according to the genre`s characteristics.
