Necessity of deviant experience to endorsed career in graffiti: social anomy or the norm of transitional period?

In this article the author examines the contradiction in system of the relations between society and the phenomenon of graffiti: in order to approve Graffiti and even to pay money for it, you need the experience and the recognition, and the recognition and the experience can be accessed only by drawing on the walls, which is condemned and being illegal. The author concludes that this contradiction is the result of the fact that graffiti is in the process of transformation, it ceases to be only a deviant subculture, and becomes an independent type of modern art, while the society still perceives this phenomenon in the old way.
