The high-power laser setup generating ultrashort pulses (USP) and working in a mode of regenerative amplification (RGA) has been designed. The laser amplifying system has been composed of the master laser (injector) and the amplifier. As the Q-switch of the laser amplifier the electromechanical shutter (EMS) has been used. Its basic virtue is absence of a photorefraction which is exhibited in similar amplifiers with an electrooptical shutter. Results of experimental researches of time and energy performances of such laser amplifying system are given.
