The study reflects the history of cultural landscape development in Yakut villages. Modern Yakut village has appeared as a result of the policy towards the enlargement of the settlement area in the mid-20th century. Preserving the traditional elements of Yakut cultural landscape, it is almost unchanged to the present day. The research highlights the features of the cultural landscape in the early 21st century. It notes the appearance of neo-pagan houses of worship in a village, i.e. Archy Diete (Archy House), which reflects the growth of not only ethnic identity but also the process of glocalization. The authors attempt to identify the functional value of neo-pagan places of worship in social space of Yakut village. It is concluded that modern houses of worship are not limited to utilitarian and ceremonial functions; they cover a wide range of social and cultural relations in Yakut village as well.
