The article presents the results of the analysis of the new Neolithic complex of the archaeological site Chashkinskoe Lake IX. Methods of comprehensive analysis of stone implements have been developed by Galina Poplevko. Our research program implied consecutive use of technological, typological and traceological methods of analysis. The study of pottery was done as a part of the historical-cultural approach, proposed by Alexey Bobrinsky. The stone inventory is 192 items. An analysis of stone implements revealed the following characteristics: the use of local small river pebbles for toolmaking; the widespread use of narrow and thin blades as inserts in the composite instrument (mainly meat / fish knives); the blade-flake industry; the widespread use of marginal edge dorsal retouch; the lack of tools for bifacial treatment; a considerable toolkit for processing meat / fish and bone. The ceramic complex consists of 60 fragments of pottery from five pots. The analysis showed that clays (80%) and silty clays (20%) were used to make the vessels. It also marked the prevalence of fat raw materials in comparison with the lean ones. The surface of all vessels was smoothened over with a soft object; the average wall thickness is 0,8-1,2 cm. The bases are flat and in some cases with cuts, under which through-piercing is often applied. Bottoms are flat. The ornament was reduced; it was often restricted to the rim zone or to the upper third of the vessel. Oval, dotted and triangular rows of stitch-and-furrow lines prevail. Based on the analysis, the site was related to the early stage of the Volga-Kama Neolithic culture.
