Neon letters of destiny: Belarusian plot in the literature of XX century

The main trends of development of Belarusian literature of the twentieth century, which asserted itself being the part of national revival, but was also the part of the Soviet literary experience, are analyzed in this article. The conclusion was made, that its originality and artistic possibilities ontologically depend on the major historical events of the twentieth century: the Belarusian literature not only cope with them in an aesthetical way, but also tries to overcome them.
