Unauthorized actions as a factor of the local community consolidation (the case of Moscow)

The article, on the base of the data of sociological surveys of Moscow residents in 2018 and 2019 analyzes the reaction of Muscovites to resonance unauthorized political actions carried out during the campaign for the elections of deputies to the Moscow City Duma in 2019. The analysis compares the assessments of various aspects of the socio-political situation in the city given by Muscovites in 2018 and 2019. The author concludes that we can talk about a consolidated negative reaction of Muscovites to the unauthorized actions of the summer of 2019. However, this does not lead to people's disappointment in the effectiveness of democratic freedoms; on the contrary, it contributes to the expansion of the willingness to use these freedoms to defend their socio-political interests, but through legitimate protest actions.
