The second part of the literature review discusses the characteristics of non-suicidal behavior as part of the continuum of self-injury on the example of adolescents, their characteristics, age and gender aspects, relation to suicidal and aggressive behavior, the burden of self-harm, place in psychiatric classifications; special attention is paid to the working criteria of the syndrome of non-suicidal self-injury DSM-4-5 and their diagnostic and clinical significance.
