Regulatory and legal regulation of organic agriculture in the Russian Federation

The article attempts to generalize the modern legal framework of formation and development of organic agriculture in the Russian Federation, the sector of agriculture focused on the observance of ecological balance and innovative technologies in combination with the experience of our ancestors. The legal vacuum of domestic organic food production has been overcome. In 2018, Federal law No. 280-FZ «on organic products and amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation» («on the production of organic products») was adopted. 2017 was the year of ecology. A number of documents have been adopted that directly or indirectly regulate the production of organic food. It is: «sustainable development Strategy of the Russian Federation for the period till 2030», the «concept of long-term socio-economic development of the Russian Federation for the period till 2020», «fundamentals of state policy of the Russian Federation in the field of healthy nutrition of the population for the period till 2020», «national strategy of actions in interests of children for 2012 -2020,» the «Ecological doctrine of the Russian Federation», «Strategy of sustainable development of rural territories of the Russian Federation for the period till 2030» etc...
