New information and analytical methodology for assessing regional scientific activity

The article is devoted to the assessment of regional scientific activity and its features. The research analyzed the Russian scientific publication activity of the Arkhangelsk Region. The analysis was carried out of the publication activity of all the settlements that have a profile in the RSCI. The study showed that some features of the location of the Arkhangelsk region did not prevent it from creating conditions for the development of scientific activities. On the example of the Arkhangelsk region, it was shown that science in Russia also covers its remote corners. The most important thing is to take into account all the features of the formation of scientific activity and correctly determine the priority and most relevant areas of activity in the region.
