The new international system of monetary regulation

The article considers some new trends of development of the international monetary and credit system: introduction of a new international currency, shift in the roles of international financial institutions, regulation of operations with derivatives, strengthening of the macroprudential control system. The author arrives at the conclusion that the new international currency should be based on the gold standard.
