The article describes a substance known as "dry water" and its basic physical properties. It is used in fire extinguishing and cooling systems. Dry water is utilized in fire protection systems also. Its effectiveness, safety and environmental friendliness in this role is evaluated. An analysis of "dry water" cooling systems is carried out. The advantages of the substance usage are presented.
