Novgorod tysyatskiys in recent decades of Novgorod independence (since the beginning of XV century to 1478)

The subject of this study is all the news sources on board of Novgorod tysyatskiys and evolution of this institution in XV century. From the early beginning of the Century until 1478, when, after the elimination of the independence of Novgorod tysyatskiys post was abolished. In this paper we presented a complex and critically reviewed various written information and material of Russian and foreign sources of Novgorod the Great tysyatskiys, held the position during the period. The novelty of the work is the most detailed study of the evolution of institute of tysyatskiys, and during the reign of the individual owners of the post. The main conclusions reached by the author as a result of the study is the fact that tysyatskiys not replaced at regular intervals and at the same time mayor. It is not entirely convincing is an attempt to characterize the land tenure Novgorod tysyatskiys, because in some cases it could go about their namesake, and the patrimony of their children were sometimes only a part of his father's former allotment, as is the case with Trufan Sarskoy’s son. There are credible reports of possession of only one of the former Novgorod tysyatskiys, but they do not actually allow hard enough estimating the size of his estates in the Novgorod independence period.
