News aggregators became new participants of the press industry in the digital economy. The proposal for a Directive of the European Union on copyright in the digital single market includes provisions for the protection of press publications concerning online uses. New related right of press publishers in the article is viewed. Prospects for the recognition of this right in the EU at the moment are ambiguous.
