New clarifying dendrochronological study of Pushkin spruce to establish its true age (park of the village Yazykovo, museum complex "Yazykovsiy estate", Karsunsky district, Ulyanovsk region)

The work is dedicated to clarifying the new dendrochronological study to determine the true age of the legendary “Pushkinskaya ate” growing up in ancient Yazykovskiy Park Museum complex “Yazykovskiy manor” in the village Yazykovo, Karsunsky district, Ulyanovsk region. Since ancient years, it is known as” Pushkin's spruce” and according to legend, it was planted in the autumn of 1833 by A. S. Pushkin together with his Language brothers during his visit to their estate when he returned to Boldino from his Eastern expedition to the Pugachev places of the Volga region and the Urals. The original written documents on spruce have not survived. Held in 1973, at the request of local historian A. N. Blokhintsev, the definition of age ate invited experts gave a sensational and unacceptable results: at the time of the arrival of Pushkin in the Language El was already age 63 years (supposedly it is already planted in 1770), which caused complete disagreement with that of many researchers. The age determination was not carried out correctly, inaccurate calculation method, but it was not reported to the readers. There was a methodological error, which significantly overstated the age of spruce. New clarifying definition of the age of spruce was conducted at the request of the Museum staff accurate method of taking a core of wood from the cambium and to the core of the tree age of Pressler borer at a height of 1 meter from the surface of the earth. A careful dendrochronological analysis revealed 186year rings on the core, which indicates the planting of a seedling in 1833 at the age of 5-9 years (by this age it reaches a height of 1.1 - 1.5 meters. Total age of fir 191 - 195 years, not 250 - 260 years, certain wrong. There is every reason to believe that this is really a real Pushkin spruce, planted by A. S. Pushkin together with the Language brothers on September 29, 1833. All materials are research - core, tree-ring table values of tree rings for the period 1831 - 2017, graphic dendrochronology, photos will be mounted in the stand and transferred free to the Museum “Yazykovskiy house,” the Museum, as a valuable document that establishes the true age of Pushkin ate.
