New data on northern Urals seismicity

We present the results of instrumental data processing of the earthquakes recorded in 20122015 in the Northern, Subpolar and Polar Urals. The earthquakes were confined to the Main Ural Fault, to the junction zone of Western, Axial and Eastern structural zones. The territory of the Northern and Polar Urals is characterized by a low-magnitude diffused seismicity. The recorded seismic events in the Urals occurred in the upper crust and could be caused by horizontal movements on the largest Late Paleozoic overthrusts.
