The biography of the Holy Martyr Vladimir Vasilyevich Pankin is poor in facts despite his canonization at the Jubilee Episcopal Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2000 and following veneration. Moreover, unfortunately, the available his short biographies contain erroneous information. When researching this topic and writing this article, studied were the materials of various State and Departmental Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, as well as pre-revolutionary periodicals and reference publications. Critically reviewing published information about the life of the priest Vladimir Pankin, the author analyzes previously unknown sources, introducing new materials into scientific circulation that allow to significantly supply the biography of the New Martyr.
