New cultivars of perennial phlox (Plox paniculata - Polemoniaceae) from the Krasnoyarsk region

The purpose of the study is to identify the most stable and decorative seedlings of panicled phlox (Plox paniculata - Polemoniaceae), which have original features and are suitable for wide cultivation; their description as cultivars (cv.). In the study of the seed offspring of panicled phlox in 2014-2021 in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Region, the most decorative seedlings were selected. Plants varied greatly in height, branching pattern, size and shape of inflorescences, color, size and shape of flowers, flowering period, and other features. The paper considers and describes 16 new cultivars of panicled phlox according to the rules of botanical nomenclature. Diagnostic features are given and a typical material is identified with an indication of its storage location. The highest cultivars (up to 150 cm) are Gvozdika Lilovaya, Gvozdika Rosovaya, Zvezdnorosovyi; short stature (60-70 cm) is characteristic of Badan and Gubki Bantikom cultivars; bloom the earliest (medium-early) Badan, Nastroenie, Prazdnik, Gvozdika Rosovaya; late-flowering (mid-late) - Polosatik, Zvezdnorosovyi, Pul'sar; cultivars that are characterized by a changeable color or its change during the flowering period - Nastroenie, Hameleon, Polosatik, Pul'sar, Prazdnik; the largest inflorescences (more than 20 cm wide) form the cultivars Badan, Gvozdika Rosovaya, Dal'neyarkij, Malinka, Tanden; cultivars Dal'neyarkij, Neonchik, Bezdonnyj, Pul’sar, Malinka, Nastroenie have the most saturated, bright color of flowers. All cultivars are characterized by a pleasant coloring, an original combination of individual characteristics and can be used both for landscape gardening and for growing in household plots.
