As a result of the analysis of the literary data of ecotopological features of Gagea terraccianoana, as well as viewing of herbarium materials on this taxon, dates and possible places of that rare species growth in Republic of Buryatia are determined. Searches were made in 2016 in the central floodplain of the river Selenga showed that this relict is confined not only to the canopy of Japanese-elm groves, where it is found singly (Tarakonovka Island), but also in open spaces along thickets of shrubs and trees, where it occurs massively (Sennaya Island). Features of the species biology (early flowering and fruiting) allow this taxon to reduce the anthropogenic impact on the population - mowing grass and pasturing animals on meadows.
