New approaches to estimation of avertable mortality in Russia

The author outlines his approaches to classification of the avertable causes of death by methods of control. On the basis of analysis of the trends in deaths from different groups of controllable causes, and characteristic of the regional state of the problem he makes verification of the proposed approaches, which proves their analytical value.
