New approaches to managing a university as a partner of business structures

The article examines the issues of interaction and building partnerships between modern universities and entrepreneurs. It is shown that the university plays an important role not only in educational but also in scientific areas, and an emphasis is placed on the strategic interaction of education and science in universities. It is proved that the mission and strategy of cooperation between universities and enterprises should be developed at the highest level of management, and then transformed into departmental strategies. The ways of ensuring a comprehensive integration of the educational process, science and production are proposed. A number of factors influencing the development of partnerships with enterprises by universities are identified. The author’s calculation indices are proposed that can be used when assessing universities by enterprises. Conclusions are made about the need to manage the motivation for the development of partnership in order to reduce the gap between the curricula in universities and the requirements of enterprises for the skills and knowledge of specialists.
