New radiocarbon dates for pit-comb ware of the Middle Volga region

The authors analyze a group of 15 radiocarbon dates for "pit-comb" ware of the Middle Volga region. These dates confirm that sites with "pit-comb" ware appeared in the region in the beginning of the IV millenium BC. According to the new data the time of existence of the population of this culture in the Middle Volga region was the first half of the IV millennium BC. Radiocarbon dates for this region later than the middle of the IV millennium BC were not registered.
