New stage in the development of the tourism industry on lake Baikal: multidisciplinary view

The article discusses the main problems associated with anthropogenic load and undeveloped tourist infrastructure of Olkhon Island. A large, uncontrolled flow of tourists to the island complicates the work of the transport infrastructure and puts not only a load on the landscape, but also medical support and law enforcement agencies. As a consequence, there is a need to develop a way to control the tourist flow. Olkhon Island is a protected area, the natural resources of which are protected by many laws and restrictions. But at the same time, it is impossible to restrict the entry of tourists there, since for many residents tourism is the main way of earning money. In this regard, the proposed article focuses on a deep multidisciplinary analysis of the current state of the tourism infrastructure of the study area., Identifies vulnerabilities, formulates the main problems, identifies promising approaches and possible solutions. The authors considered the main methods for registering tourists existing in the Russian Federation. It was proposed to create an electronic resource that will not only provide up-to-date information about Lake Baikal, Olkhon Island and tourist services, but also allow electronic registration of tourists in this area.
