New burial site of the Ancient Turkic period has been located in the vicinity to the Aul-Koshkul village in the Chany Region, Novosibirsk Province. The site is situated in the lake flood plain. The site consists of certain relief features representing remains of surface constructions over the tombs, some of which demonstrate additional earthen platforms and ditches. Geophysical analyses of the site have revealed other constructions that are not visible of the surface. Results of geophysical analyses are important for future excavations at the site. Local citizens made a test pit, which destroyed one of the tombs. Some artifacts recovered from this tomb have been given to archaeologists. On the basis of available information, the site is preliminary dated back to the 9th - 11th centuries.
