The article features a research on the new method of local administration of antibiotics in the treatment of active rhinosinusitis by magnetic nanoparticles and external magnetic field. 64 patients were treated with chronic rhinosinusitis: 31 patients - local use of nanoparticles with amoxiclav. Antibiotics in amount of 1,2 g were diluted in 5 ml of nanoparticles' solution. The solution was introduced into the nasal cavity on gauze trailers and exposed to magnetic field during 20 minutes. Results: Endoscopic score (degree of inflammation) were reduced after treatment by antibiotics with nanoparticles (2,3 ±0,5 indices) in comparison with traditional treatment (3,2±0,2 indices); bacterial count (Staphylococcus - 104КОЕ/ml1, versus 107КОЕ/мл in control, Streptococcus - 1 03КОЕ/гп1, versus 106КОЕ/мл in control and Enterobacteriaceae - 1 02КОЕ/гп1, versus 1 04КОЕ/mlin control); nasal cytology showed signs of both regeneration and inflammation in the study group, in the control group - signs of active inflammation prevailed. Thus, results of the study proved efficacy of local therapy with antibiotic-associated magnetic nanoparticles in treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis.
