The monograph by S.I. Yakimova, Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Higher School of Media, Communications and Service of the Institute of Socio-Political Technologies and Communications of the Pacific State University (Khabarovsk) “Discourses of the Russian Abroad of the Far East” is devoted to a very relevant, but little-studied topic - Russian culture emigration in the Far East. The study of literature and journalism of Russian abroad is extremely important in connection with the actualization of the problem of intercultural communication within the framework of the developing intercultural dialogue between Russia and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, West and East. The book examines the cultural life of Russian emigrants in Vladivostok and Harbin, analyzes the emigrant press, and pays special attention to the literary and journalistic activities of the writer, philosopher, historian Vs.N. Ivanov (1888-1971). Literature and journalism from Russian emigre countries have become a significant part of Russian culture and have made a significant contribution to the development of Russian-Chinese cultural ties.
