The new law on the labeling of advertising on the Internet

Advertising is an integral element of marketing, which, thanks to its function of promoting various goods and services, plays a key role in business development. Thus, advertising activities on the Internet have gained no less popularity, and therefore cases of unfair and illegal placement of advertising integrations on digital platforms have begun to increase. It is for these reasons that a new law on labeling advertising on the Internet was created, which is also an addition to the main Federal Law «On Advertising». Such a law, or more precisely, a new article (18.1 of the Federal Law «On Advertising») provides for the mandatory labeling of advertising on all platforms, including social networks, blogs and other sites.
