Numismatic finds from Qalai Kuhna (Karron) fortified settlement and problem of dating of preserved architectural structures

The site of Karron (Qalai Kuhna) in South Tajikistan was investigated in 2012-2014 by Yu. Yakubov. Several coins were found, among them a cast imitation of a Chinese Tang dynasty bronze coin, a Kushan coin of Kanishka III and a post-Kushan imitation of king Vasudeva coin. The coins can not provide dating for the excavated structures, which are all of a later date, but they prove that the site was inhabited by the beginning of A. D.
