Currently, much attention is paid to sanitary and hygienic working conditions. Adhesive solutions based on organic solvents significantly worsen the microclimate of production workshops. Hence, the current direction of chemicalization of footwear production is the introduction of adhesive dispersions on a water basis for gluing soles. The technology of using polyurethane dispersion adhesives for sole - fastening operations requires detailed approbation due to the wide range of materials used for the upper of shoes and the fairly recent use of dispersion adhesives for gluing soles. The article provides a comparative analysis of the strength indicators of adhesive joints obtained with the use of polyurethane adhesive solutions and adhesive dispersions when gluing rubber "Kozhvolon" with artificial leather, processed by various methods. It is shown that the use of polyurethane dispersion adhesives makes it possible to obtain standard strength when choosing the type of processing of artificial leather before gluing. For difficult - to - bond materials, the standard strength is achieved by adjusting the technological mode of bonding. Using mathematical methods for planning an experiment for artificial leather "Nubuck" the optimal modes of the gluing process are determined.
