To the question of youth trust in official information in the context of Russian national security

The article examines the problem of developing youth's trust in sources of information in the context of an international situation sharp aggravation. Based on a sociological survey conducted in the Nizhny Novgorod Region in 2023, the author examines the attitude of young people to sources of information and its reliability. The article studies VPN phenomenon as a mean of bypassing Roskomnadzor blocking of unreliable information, and the attitude of young people towards it. The author makes an attempt to substantiate the idea that today, in the context of a Special Military Operation in Ukraine one of the most important means of building institutional trust is information security as the most important factor of national security.
