Concerning spiritual and cultural foundations of civic consciousness in ancient culture

Basing upon the ideas of the key figures of the Ancient philosophy and culture - Plato and Aristotle -the article sets a problem of determination of the spiritual and cultural foundations for upbringing civic consciousness. The authors consider its connection with the modern times and its relevance for current Russian sociocultural reforms.
