On the unity and fragmentation of the modern world

The article attempts identifying and analyzing some key factors of fragmentation and the deconstruction of the modern world, leading to aggravation of contradictions and conflicts between peoples. The author focuses on the contradictory nature of globalization and information revolution, which, on the one hand, lead to universalization, unification, homogenization of the modern world; on the other hand, they contribute to the revival of ethnism, nationalism, the growth of interest in traditional values, national and cultural identity, etc. The article analyzes the features, forms, directions and spheres of manifestation of these processes and trends.
