The article presents the phenomenon of musical ekphrasis in Russian poetry - the verbal representation of the performance of a musical work in a human (female) voice - considered on the example of three poems - poem in the prose “Stop!” from the cycle “Senilia” by I. Turgenev, “The Singer” by A. Fet and “Listening to singing.” by A. Akhmatova. The focus of the poem Turgenev - an attempt in the word to stop the beautiful moment in which eternity and immortality thickened. The poem is a witness of the miracle that was performed on the eyes of a poet. The miracle of female singing, which words are powerless to express, they can only flash with reflected light. Poems by Fet and Akhmatova in the context of the article to a large extent play the role of the background, which clearly show the features of Turgenev's originality in solving the common problem for poets artistic reflection of the impression of female singing.
