About philosophical bases of a museum exposition

The article defines philosophical and conceptual activity as fundamental for a modern museum, both at the level of understanding of museum institutional mission and at the level of exposition and exhibition work. The author persists on the application of scientific philosophical and cultural theories and concepts to the museum activities. As a positive example of such experience, the author recalls a number of the exhibitions presented in Primorsky State Museum named after V.K. Arseniev in 2006–2010 based on the principles of philosophical concept of metaculture.
