About the physiological condition of brood sows under a prophylactic action of electromagnetic radiation of the ultraviolet and infrared bands

The authors determine the intensity of the lipid peroxidation process and the number of erythrocytes and leukocytes in the peripheral blood of intact sows and sows of different periods of pregnancy under a prophylactic action of electromagnetic radiation of the ultraviolet and infrared bands. At the same time they estimate the efficiency of separate and combined electromagnetic irradiation of brood sows. The possibility of the application of artificial sources of electromagnetic radiation at prophylactic doses in animal production when animals are kept indoors is discussed.
