About the uniform of police officers in tsarist Russia: the Turkestan version

The author describes a problem of uniform of police grades in pre-revolutionary Russia in reference to the entire Empire and regional expression for Turkestan. The author marks, that during imperial times all the state departments had the uniform of officials, which were of great importance in a public life as it allowed defining at once the social status of the carrier - the military or civil employee of all ranks. In Russian Turkestan, the form of grades of police of edge had a special value, as indigenous population associated it with an accessory to military-national authority to which it had initially got used to submit. Positions of clause are based mainly on legal documents. In opinion of the author, the form of clothes of police officers in Turkestani edge, to a certain extent, corresponded with service uniform grades of the Department of Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in this connection military department consulted to it.
