On the formation of the system of strategic planning of socioeconomic development of the region

The article provides an analysis of the enacted Federal law «The strategic planning in the Russian Federation». The period, legal and regulatory framework and specific features of strategic planning documents developed at the level of subject of the Russian Federation are determined. The proposals for improvement the system of strategic planning of socioeconomic development of the Republic of Buryatia are submitted, including the establishment of special bodies, formation a scientific and methodological basis for improving the quality of forecasting and planning work, conducting activities for the public discussion of the draft documents for strategic planning.
