On gender wage differential in labour market

The article presents the study results concerning gender-specific wage differentials on the territory of the Vologda Oblast and in Russia as a whole. The key problems of women’s access to the most profitable activities and of career advancement are defined. Main priorities of contemporary gender policy in the sphere of employment are highlighted.
