About quantitative indices are characteristic of apple crown structure

The results of investigation of morphophysiological determinants of crown of apple tree were presented. The statistical distribution of one-year growth on their length (correlation between one-year growth of various length) was analyzed. The question about quantitative indices of buds awakening and shoot-forming capacity of trees being of great importance for the revelation of physiological features in different apple cultivars was considered. The author discussed the trends of use such parameters as the buds awakening, the average length of shoots (one-year growth), the coefficient of asymmetry of statistical distribution of one-year growth on their length as quantitative indices for the revelation of genotypic features of apple crown structure concerned with growth and trees fruitage.
